As with all Zenith productions, actors of all gender identities, ethnicities, body types, and backgrounds are STRONGLY encouraged to audition. We are specifically seeking a multi-cultural cast. Do not be afraid to audition for a role for which you would traditionally have been "typed out." To put it bluntly: we don't care what you look like. If we believe you're a good fit for the role, we will cast you.

AVAILABLE ROLES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THESE FROM THE FILM:
BEN - a truck driver taking shelter in the house
BARBARA - drove with her brother to the area, taking shelter in the house
JOHN - Barbara's brother, drove with Barbara to the area to lay flowers on their father's grave
HARRY - Helen's husband, believes the basement is a better hiding place
HELEN - Harry's wife, disagrees
KAREN - Teenager/Young Adult: Harry & Helen's daughter, has fallen ill in the basement
NOTE: we will ask those wishing to audition for KAREN to read SIDE 7 below
TOM - another survivor initially hiding in the basement with Harry and Helen
SHERIFF MCCLELLAND - leads a group of deputies to kill zombies in the countryside
DEPUTIES/OFFICERS - members of the sheriff's posse
RADIO ANNOUNCER - "old-school" announcer, think NPR
VOCALISTS - the only people who will sing, but they get zombified during Intermission, so that will be fun

Please come prepared to read from sides. If you are interested in a vocalist role, please prepare a pop song from the 1960s and either bring an instrumental backing track on a mobile device (we will have a bluetooth speaker), or e-mail it ahead of your audition to casting@zenithplayers.com and we will have it ready for you.
Please bring all outdates from the date of your audition to the end of performances. Rehearsals will be scheduled based on performer availability. We do not have a set rehearsal schedule.
If you are interested only in playing a zombie without reading for another role, please let us know at your audition.
If you are not available for the audition dates, please record one of the sides and e-mail it to casting@zenithplayers.com no later than August 9th. Submissions after that date will not be accepted.
